I love the idea of tanning and I love laying in the sun, but I just cant do it anymore.

No intelligent person will go to a tanning salon these days. Not only does it increase your chances of skin cancer, UVA rays penetrate the dermis most deeply and will cause the greatest damage. People that tan will look awful as they get older and this damage accumulates. The tanning industry doesnt want you to believe this. If you have to tan, use Mystic or something similar. Better to look orange than look old or get cancer

@blondeprincesssarah this statement is ignorant and uneducated.

@nerdinium2 if you took enough supplements to get the recommended amount of vitamin D you require to prevent these things it would make you sick. Getting regular moderate UV exposure is the only safe effective way for your body to get the recommended amount you need.

@triskit1129 Wrong - it isn't UVB, its not getting enough Vitamin D that causes all those things. Go to the drugstore and spend $4.

@peacelovelightjoy Indigenous people have a built in sunscreen - they have brown skin. Also, there were lots of skin cancers throughout history before Marconi even invented radio, much less microwaves.
Thats the craziest thing I ever heard. Didnt they just do a study and said cancer is going down in the United States, even the "deadliest form of cancer" and it wasnt melanoma. Plus there has never been any proof, and that funny all this talk but no proof. And I dont even get in a tanning bed Im black but I know just from finding facts.

You have no idea what facts are. You must state who "they" are when referencing a study.
Basically alls the video is telling you is concentrated doses of U.V. rays greatly increases your chance for skin cancer! THAT IS PURE FACT. Not everyone develops it, but many will.
Take care of your body, it was created in a beautiful way not to be taken advantage of.
Thanks

Absolute gibberish. Unfounded claims and overall amateurish content. Humans have been exposed to UV light for over 200,000 years and all of a sudden it is a bad thing? What ever did we do before spf was invented? Lame video.

You are completely correct, the sun has been burning for a long time. But the UV rays were directed to parts of the world where certain races/skin tones were adapt to dealing with it. (This is why people around the equator often are darker and better resist sun burns)
So why do we but descendants from Europe or other light skinned nations into high concentration UV beds which are completely unnatural, completely abusive?
Think about it.
