When two distraught astronauts witness the aftermath of a nuclear explosion in North-East Minnasota from space, they go down to Earth to investigate, only to discover hard-bitten war veteran Brigadier Crenshaw and a vast conspiracy that threatens the entire world and the existence of mankind.
