@tecno57 The guy who built my home used people who NOT pros. I had a leak in my roof. When the insurance came, they said this leak was going on for about 2 years. People movinf to texas need to be told out side the city there is NO inspections on homes. nothing. Shithead builders can build SHIT. My driveway has NO rebar in it. He was found guilty of 18 out of 26 issues. When I told him to fix his shit with good contractors, He told me to "Go and fucking sue me" he is still bulding in SanMarcos

This is All bullshit. The assholes in the senate were taking money from TRCC. 1st year TRCC income=^ million. senate took 4m and the TRCC got 2 m to work with. The house had a bill that would have gave TRCC some power to MAKE buillders "FIX" there shit, BUT the senate Fuck the homeowner over. It was "Lawyer" who wanted TRCC out of there way. They were missing out on "MONEY" sueing contractors. I went to one of these assholes, wanted $5 grand & $250 an Hr. the shithead who built my home, fixed ?
Recently, I heard another contractor say that Texas is going to require remodelers and builder to be licensed again. Does anyone know this for a fact?

@brokenarrow2222 Texas didn't license remodelers & builders. It registered them and implied that registration and licensing were the same. Not true. A bill to keep the TRCC used the term licensing but had no education or testing requirements and no real enforcement ability. It would have made a mockery of the licensing concept. HOT will introduce a bill next session requiring builder licensing.
