do you know how to remove the region lock on ps2 games? there are some european games i want to play on my north american ps2. but i heard that u need to remove the region lock. how do you do it.

@XMasterDragon Installing linux is much easier because of that as well. The xbox already has all the hardware, you just need a softmod and you can boot linux :D.

are you familiar with downloading PAL games onto the HDD? I want to get siren 2 (never released in ntsc) and put it on my HDD. i know the method using a third party thing, but will it be region locked?

@cloudforgiven The hard drive wasn't included. And you need the network adapter to install a hard drive, not the other way around.

The X-Box comes with a HD so you save money.

wow. if only if the HDD was a giant memory card.

When I opened the expansion bay there was a huge spider web in it.

@drpapi444 No, the harddrive is an official SONY supported device, no modchip required.

how do you save ps1 and ps2 games on a ps2 hard drive?

@cyclonboys64 From what I know you can't save PS1 games on a hard drive, if you'd like to install PS2 games on a hard drive, you'll have to buy some 3rd party software which allows you to do this, it is something that was never supported by SONY, and they even outlawed at one point.

@Indead wait so the network adpator is the hardrive.. and i want to play online ..i have the fat ps2 so all i have to do is get the network adpator and then install disc etc.. and i can play online ps2 games

@cloudforgiven The network adapter is not the hard drive, the network adapter is used to transfer data between the hard drive and the PS2 itself. If all you're wanting to do is play online, all you need is a network adapter, you won't need an install disc, that is only for formatting a harddrive to be compatible with a PS2.
If you just want to play games online, and have a fat model PS2, just buy a network adapter, that is all you'll need.
