That is the date they have set. I respectfully disagree. I think HP being such a huge company, they are going to bring some amazing hardware and software. Just look at the tablet leaks on Engadget from today and yesterday. I can't wait to see what amazingness they are going to bring to the game with WebOS. It will make all the Android kids jealous of our OTA updates!! WebOS is amazing!!

Smartphones are still minority when compared to normal phones. There are LOTS of people who don't own a smartphone, and people who do own a smartphone can and do switch devices. Or do you think that if only Palm/HP had their announcement few weeks earlier, there wouldn't be a problem? That this is a matter of weeks?

Why Feb 9th? By that time most smartphone users will have made their choice on a Blackerry, Google, or Apple phone.
