  • Bears interesting comparison with Plath's "little bloody skirts". I like your reference to their scentlessness and their relation to the opium poppy.

  • Andrew lets us hear the voice of the poppy confessing its nature. One feels the personality of the flower as it is. A beautiful and mystical moment.
