I like the regular one, it's crisper... IMHO
-
the 44 sounds smoother.............just bought one:)
-
To my ears the 44 seems abit more aggressive. Anyone agreeing or disagreeing?
-
Hello everybody...it is possible that this device give to me a lot of buzz and noise using an AC/DC power supplly?
-
So, which one you like better GD? It s hard for me to tell better one from just listening. It seem it´s first one (purple) but they really sound similar. If i can plug in them both like you did i´ll make my decision on the spot!
-
Anyone ever tell you you sound like Jack Black sort of?
-
the cat is so fucking stoned!
-
Jack Black.. you rock!!!!!!!!!!
-
That cat is beautiful! <3 :P
-
This was a request I did a long time ago. GMD you rock!
-
Good belch at three fourth demo........ luckily he only belched and nothing worse as I didn't see the cat scrambling out looking for fresh air ;-) Thank you GMD, your demos
are still the best, I think I'll get this pedal soon.

A treble booster can be harsh, but you can get the best out of it if you roll off your guitar's volume & tone knobs and use the neck pu, just like an old fuzz face.
-
thanks man..!! .. excellent demo..!! .. i've gotten germania 44 (got some hard time between the two).. this cat-dude looks fine.. :)
-
That cat's baked! I've had nights like that, not cool...not cool.
-
They both sound like fart tone.
-
@Ncuab That's the way it sounded to me, but as you said gear will make a difference. I'm not sure the 44 is worth the extra $40.00 especially given the fact you have to give up that sexy purple sparkle pain.
-
I'm bummed..... My treble-booster (Analog Man NKT Beano Boost) is away on business (A friend of mine wanted to build a treble-booster with some parts he has kicking around [not to sell], so he needed a faithful treble-booster clone as a study-guide). I miss my booster. It's purty.

What about you though? Personally, I started wearing earplugs recently (after experiencing some high-frequency distortion in my left ear that took a month to go away). I can't get loud at home, so I don't need them there, but when I'm playing out, I use them for sure now. Let the other guy be the idiot.

ive got an older version of the germania 44 its yellow and does not have that eq switch thing, but can recomend it it kicks ass perfect biteing sustain (very fuzz like) i run mine in a pedalboard next to my ibanez tubescreamer, and mxr micro amp into marshall bluesbreaker or on smaller gigs my orange rocker and either combination the pedal works a treat. great demo nice boots, bet the cat has tinitus lol..

GERMANIA - sounds slightly nasalier
GERMANIA 44 - sounds slightly warmer
***LIKE ALWAYS, it depends on what other gear you're using, how all of your gear complements/works against each other, what sound you're looking for, how it feels, and what you're willing to pay.***
-
the 44 would be tha shit on a cranked twin reverb.......
-
There is so much variation between individual Germanium transistors that I think that can make as much difference as whether or not they are the same type, especially in such a simple circuit.
Neither of these sound that great to me...
-
HAHAHAH massive burp. Love it. Good Demo.
-
A very good side by side demo! Thanks!
dude, GMD makes his videos to compare pedals side by side and to let us state our opinions for which we prefer.
Der1metzger didn't do anything wrong, he was just giving his opinion. Why are you challenging him? He never said anything about GMD being a bad demonstrator... Where the hell is your rhetoric going?
