The Lyrics: This song came to me one night after I watched ALL THREE Karate Kid Movies (www.hulu.com) and thought to my self... "wow.. all the plots where the same" and thus the title of this song. I make references to all 3 movie but also give mention to the 4 and possible 5... Yup that is right... Karate Kid 5 staring Will Smith's Kid!

The Chords / Sounds: I have to give a big shout out to Krabbers on this one. He made me a little video on how to use the loop stations from one of this videos... and while I have yet to have the cash flow to buy the pedals... I was able to do what he did in his video... Just using Garage Band. ALL THE SOUNDS IN THE VIDEO ARE COMING FROM MY FLEA UKULELE. I put a basic drum beat down and added some effects along with a kick drum and the Bm & Em chord rhythm.

The Video: This is my first attempt at a video of this MAGNITUDE! I have to give a shout out to Julia Nunes for first inspring me to want to start this, and to all the rest of you who shot me e-mails, ideas, tips, and tricks. Thanks to the www.ukuleleundergound.com comunity for the help! I used Garge Band to lay down 4 tracks. The basic drum beat, the kick drum, the rhythm, and the vocals/scourcing solo. When I put the frist 3 tracks down I did not yet know how to do this whole thing... Thus no video cuts to that... And why it might look funny that I am not "playing" my ukulele! But for the last track I turned on the video while I sung the song and got funky on the uke! Then I thought to myself.. I should stay up real late and add a bunch of stuff!! Put it all togehter and here you have it!

This is my FEB song for the bring the song challenge... And I wish it could count for my 1980's video... I mean these movies all were in the 80's right... That counts.. Right??

Anyway.. Let me know what you think!! Rate... Comment... Subscribe... or just go eat some soup.. soup is good!

  • yes!! it is kind of my point.. but i think people miss the lyric.. the point is that i skip talking about that one at all.. because it is sooooo badd.. and so off the original that it does not count!! now.. i understand that pat morita had a house payment and thus.. had to make the moive!!

  • do you mean the actual crane kick.. because if so.. then yes.. it was epic!! if you mean mine.. that was a old chubby white guy version.. did you see how high i got.. NOT AT ALL!

  • great song! the 4th karate kid stunk but that photo made up for it.
