Great video and shot for sharing it, nice little piece of history right there.
Just too bad most of the comments are about politics and not the game.
Cheers Boet!

This is the real definition of Rugby, this is how Rugby should be played.

This Bok team would have made RWC '87 far more interesting...

@001Dixie : ag man you sound like louis luyt! you've gotta rein such sentiments in. after we won the cup in 95, there was a post-cup dinner with the whole world there, dignitaries etc, and luyt comes with this 'this just goes to show, if we played in the other world cups we would've won them too etc etc!' it's bloody embarrassing man. who knows if we would've won the other cups or not, the world cup is just a lottery anyway.

@RamKat24 ...he was a poof that couldn't tackle

well done to the boks, but that nz team was full of players that were at LEAST a year past making an impact (Mexted, Loveridge, Ashworth, Knight, Haden.) The first 2 were 33, the others 37, 35 and Haden 36)

Ag is dit nie mooi nie!! Hahahhaha

Try number 2...

Naas Botha scored a try?!?!

@001Dixie The All Blacks may be chokers at World Cups, and look that's fair enough, but it's wrong to see us as just chokers. Every game is a must win for the All Blacks, not just a tournament every 4 years. The ABs have a 75% overall win ratio, a winning record against every nation they've played, they've never lost to Ireland or Scotland, etc etc. You get the point.
Anyway, Danie Gerber and Phillipe Sella would be my picks for greatest centres of all time. Of notable mention, Tim Horan too.
“Naas is a genius – a match winner. I’ve often said it and I’ll say it again: I cannot believe that a team with Naas Botha in its ranks could ever lose a match.
This is what Doc Craven said about Botha
"He can win virtually on his own against any opposition. Naas has the presence of mind to know exactly what is happening, to sum up his opponents and instantly decide on the correct tactics. Give me Naas Botha any day and I’ll beat the world…”

Corageous NZ cavaliers? Nothing courageous about touring SA under apartheid. Courageous was John Taylor for refusing to tour in 74, having done so in 68.

@DHTCF LOL First time I heard that it is courageous to be PC in public.

@RamKat24 Think about the way that rugby reacted when John Taylor refused to tour with the lions in 74, and tell me then that it took courage to go and play rugby on racist tours.

@DHTCF You certainly had not followed the media outrage in New Zealand when the Cavaliers went on tour - remember the players were already "bombed" when the Springboks toured New Zealand 5 years before. They risked being banned from playing in the 87 WC etcSo YES, it took courage.
