  • Does anyone else find it funny that democracies are republics?

  • @yellowkrux Good point. That was to attract our "restore the republic" friends, but I will change the title now.

  • Democracy's nothin' more than majority rule! It can only make it worse. This is like tyranny from the people.

"A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine."-Thomas Jefferson

  • Why anarchy? That leaves the weak at the mercy of the strong, and warlords or other power brokers soon fill the vacuum. A republic, however, has been tested by history and proved a success.

  • hahahah AWESOME! i fully support u guys!

  • @1rickmage Wrong what?

  • @yellowkrux Wrong, there is a reason why Rome decided to make their republic after watching what happened to the tyranny in Greece. Yes, they borrowed elements from the democracy in Greece but they also added their own elements to come up with their form of a constitutional republic. That didn't make their government a democracy. A republic is what the United States was intended to be. Just look up any quotes from any founding father and you'll see. They really preached against democracy.

  • democracy is the one of the creatures from Jekyle Island Georgia 1910, a construct of WARBURG, SCHIFF, SAIEF, GOLDMAN SACKS, LEZZAR. ROTHCHILD ie. LeKosher Noatra (Askanazim).

  • I hope these guys are Libertarians cause if they talk about the Military Industrial Complex leads me to wonder. Sure Eisenhower came up with the term, but Reagan came up with the Prison Industrial Complex. Recently in my state "The Republic of Tennessee" decided privatizing the prisons was a great idea. That's how that started.

  • @TheDrkKnght1988 That's why we have a Representative Democracy and an Electoral College also the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Republic and Representative Democracy are interchangeable. That's why Thomas Jefferson and James Madison created the Democratic-Republican Party. Direct Democracy was what they were talking about where the people directly vote on things. Imagine what that'd be like- voting on Abortion all the time and welfare. Nixon gave us food stamps.

  • @repfreedomforce Precisely, only pricks release such bills with massive amounts of information to hide unnecessary earmarks and hidden agendas. Like Obama and his several thousand page report on his socialistic crap. Ron Paul is a great guy, no doubt. But direct voting is wasteful and my friend in europe has to deal with a new bill every day, freedom ceases to become freedom the moment it consumes almost every waking second of your life, you become enslaved to bureaucracy and its vices.
