The stories of the lions and tigers
in the ADI Rescue Center.

Bringing the stories of the cats
we dramatically rescued from
Mozambique in 1996 up to date
and our latest arrivals from a
Portuguese circus in 2007.

Witness the ADI investigations
and campaigns that led to these
rescues. Follow the twists and
turns of the rescue missions, the
negotiations, the seizures, the
preparations, the difficulties that
needed to be overcome, and the
incredible journeys that brought
the cats to their new homes.
Finally enjoy seeing these lucky
cats basking and playing beneath
the African sun.

Contact us to find out about how you can adopt one of these animals and help to secure their care for the rest of their lives.

  • Will the tiger be able to survive in the jungle without having hunting and gathering skills? All he has ever known is being feed by humans and circus tricks.

  • I don't think so. Cats usually stay with their mothers for a couple years after they;re born so they can learn all there is to know abotu survival.

  • The cats are now at the ADI rescue centre.

  • The cats are now at the ADI Rescue Centre. They are being cared for by humans.

  • Thank you for your heroic actions ADI!!!

  • Big Cat Rescue is a wonderful place for abused and neglected cats. The donations that people make is what keeps this refuge going.

I am helping by not going to the circus or any movies that exploit animals. If the entertainment business is not making money with the Big Cats they will stop using them.

  • thank you adi

  • in africa there are few laws, you could have your own animal rescue/law unit. africa could care less, its such a mess down there its so hard to keep track of there own food supply

  • I love all u adi guys good job

  • lol! I wish you were in charge of law enforcement!

On a serious note, it's actually the people who buy such goods who are more culpable than the poachers themselves. So we need to get them too!
