@amullenw before you got deployed did you really think you were out there fighting terrorists?? or did you just turn a blind eye when you knew what you were doing was wrong????
It's good that these soldiers are speaking out now but they had a obligaton to uphold the constitution fighting foreign enemies AND DOMESTIC.there is not one productive thing that the soldiers have done overseas, I have no sympathy for these soldiers, because before they came back.. they probably killed atleast one innocent person. and remember when a plain clothed man is fighting you because you are the foreign occupier, he is not a insurgent, he is a man who is defending his family and country
No offence to anyone, but being a United States Marine more than likely saved my life as well as many of my lifelong friends I gained from joining. I served for five years and saw 4 combat deployments as a 0331 Machine Gunner. I had my fare share of woes when I first got out dealing with civilian life, but have worked through most of them with some good help. I now am a Computer science engineer, engaged to be married, and appreciate my life more than most Americans.
@thehotshirtguy2008 .My unit worked with Iraqi security forces and civilians for a year. We learned their names and language. We built schools, cleaned up neighborhoods, and restored power. Everyone in my unit left thinking we had wasted our whole year there because nothing happend there that the US military didn't make happen. Knowing the hajis only made us hate them more. Once you learn how utterly useless an entire culture is, your hate is no longer abstract. Fuck Haji. They're garbage
@blackwidow2014 People think soldiers don't ask why. I'm an Infantry team leader. I've been in for eight years, the the most cynical and frustrated soldiers are the Infantry. We question and argue the merits of everything we do. But at the end of the day we are professionals. We follow orders and complete our mission because we all volunteered to be there. The Infantry trained us to be killers, because that is the mission of any soldier. To kill or support the killing of the enemy.
these are all idiot soldiers who didn't think for themselves to begin with, you don't have to join the military, and the military isn't just hey go shoot these people don't ask why, most of these soldiers don't join to go to iraq, they join to serve you american civilians, it hurts when even a small amount of you guys try to distort the meaning we are here.
If you think we're in Iraq and Afghanistan to uphold freedom, then I believe you need your head examined. Freedom in America died a long time ago, now theres only New World Order
I don't know what a 300 pound tumor has to do with a humanitarian issue.
