@Porterjoh Agreed. Aziz could play the tunes, but not only was Ian Brown unable to sing--he was aggressively bad.

I think the Roses were dead the minute Reni left the band. John Squire just put the nail in the coffin when he left. Even if the Reading festival wasn't the disaster it was and they continued to put out good music, it really wouldn't have been "The Stone Roses". That being said I have no hate towards Aziz Ibrahim or Robbie Madix. Its not their fault they weren't the Stone Roses...

No, there was 5 on the tour (Brown, Squire, Mani, Maddix, Ippinson)
I think what Mani was trying to say is that there was only four actually bothering (all of them except Squire), and thus one from five is 4...I dunno...he was probably stoned

Aziz was wrong for the Stone Roses & they should never have tried to carry on, let alone attempt a Sunday headline at Reading festival! John Squire must've thought the band had gone mental after he left? Replacing Reni with Wilbert (aka Robbie Maddix) had to be done so the band could tour the 2nd album & recoup some of the dosh from Geffen..& I'm surprised they survived that! Blithely carrying on without Squire was a bonkers decision made by 3 very Stoned Roses deluded they'd pull it off..OOPS!

Yeah its bush that they would trash Squire, but don't belittle the talent from Mani and Ian. There both legends as well!
