@Griffinltd ..The writer of this song John Schumann had a part in the direction of this and even features in it. I was a bit too young for Vietnam but knew of kids whose parents fought or died there....I think its o.k to be anti war but we cant knock the soldiers who in most cases then were conscripted. As John Schumann gave his blessing then I believe this preserves the integrity...A cover should not be the same...it should ideally be a re-interpretation of a song to give it new life.
