This match is from Osaka Japan, September 26, 1993. Keiji Great Muta leaves the Muta gimmick in the dressing room and comes out as Keiji Mutoh, mocking Hogan by imitating the "ear" pose right from the get go. classic!

  • Hogan actually wrestling is a mindfuck

  • I'm willing to bet that Mutoh enjoyed being himself a lot more than he did having to hold colored water in his mouth for fifteen minutes to a half an hour for the green mist bit!

  • Great match, but the ending sucks.

  • @GREECE4EVERYO Crowds in Japan are differnat than US crowds as they hold wreestling skill over entertainment value....they hold their applause for later in the match and for high spots

  • Funny, you can hear the actual music in the background, and the dubbed music as well. But really, this is the same thing. Hogan may have done matches slightly different in Japan, but he was no more entertaining to watch, or any better over there than he was in the USA. This still doesn't sell me on Hogan. Still looking for a Hogan match that actually impresses me, and I have yet to find one.

  • @GREECE4EVERYO that the regular japanese wreslting crowd, unlike in the USA its still considered a sport in Japan as opposed to "sports entertainment" as it is in the US The crowd in japan sits and watches the match thoroghly

  • i like both Hogan and Mutoh but i think Mutoh should of won this one since Hogan won the last one

  • @Gr8muta Speaking as a big fan of both guys, the Japanese would consider it good business. Hogan's a big name in the country, so is Muto. It's one match. Neither man's reputation will be injured no matter how it turns out. Hogan obviously has the smaller opponent outweighed, so it's not surprise if he comes out on top, and no shame for Muto if he does, since Muto gave his all. And if Muto wins, it's a big feather in his hat.

Take a lesson, WWE and TNA! THAT is how you book a damn match!

  • Of course Mutoh was going to lay down for Hogan twice. Hogan is big money...bring him in and he puts asses in the seats. We all Know Mutoh can work circles around Hogan in his sleep...and i am a HUGE Muta Mark myself! Hogan Put Mutoh over in the end and it was nice to see the celebration in the end!

  • the crowd is too dead
