  • @Musicamillion I had no idea you could do that. My teacher always made it sound like it would be the end of the world. :p

You can mix any color of clay so long as the firing range and shrinkage ranges are similar enough. I have a porcelain, 2 white clays and 4 different red clays I work with. The waste from throwing them all goes into the same vat where it's mixed together for reclaim. I use the reclaim to make pottery I donate for charity events. And it works just fine because it's all cone 4-6 firing range with about 14% shrinkage. Never be afraid to experiment!

  • @MissJuliatheArtist I've always used recycled clay- brown, white, red- all mixed together and extruded through a pug mill. I like using it more than any specific kind of clay!

  • @jeromeblas My art teacher told us never to mix the white with the red/brown clay. *shrug*

  • i noticed that its a white clay can u mix white and brown clay to make some style of the clay thank you

  • Where i'm from. we dont use clay to make bowls. we use it to build race tracks. <3

  • does anyone know of a video where they dont use a wheel and the use the pinch pot technique

  • Thank you for posting step by step videos with good advice and tips. Its really hard to find videos on youtube that show the whole process of making bowls from centering to decorating.
