Lobbyist Tom Rodgers opened up to The Hill about his side of the Jack Abramoff saga, and the role he played helping Native American Tribes expose the fraudulent Republican insider who was representing their interests on Capitol Hill.

  • I guess my question is hasn't prison time seemed to have actually changed Abramoff? And without Abramoff would those same tribes have gotten their casinos with someone else? That quickly?

I certainly understand the longtime injustice that Native Americans have received at the hands of European expansion and the United States Government but it is not like Abramoff massacred a village. He took a bunch of money so they could open a casino. Casinos that opened. They earn millions now.

  • We will tell our history like Tom tells his, he went behind our back while he was supposed to be working for us? He is making a clientele off of Abramoff. When we told him to stay out of the Abramoff hearing, he went to an adversary Tribe with a camera crew. Sorry I'm pissed at this video. I am Chairman Carlos Bullock of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe. Anybody want answers contact me at cbullock@actribe.org. I just cant believe this BS. Tom I'm ready to defend my people thats how pissed I am.

  • I want to say soo much, but Tom didn't expose Abrramoff. My Tribe is still suffering and we hired Tom and he went behind our back. Bring it Tom>

  • If Tom Rodgers is so committed to corruption in Indian Country, why didn't he investigate Scott Reed and Larry Rosenthal instead of setting up an innocent man for criminal indictment?

  • Tom Rodgers was given false information -- and coordinated the dissidents who LIED (ie committed perjury) in McCain's hearings. Rodgers is not a hero and should return his "ethics award" to his law school and issue a formal apology.
