Gary Remson at the International Printing Museum in Carson, California (315 Torrance Blvd) demonstrates the method Gutenberg devised for creating the metal type use on his press. Wile the press was based on other devices such as a wine press it was the type that was the real innovation. A good type caster could create two pieces a minute.
