Theremin: "The Swan" by Camille Saint-Saëns

This arrangement of "The Swan" from from Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals is "Old wine In a New Skin" I guess you could say. I found a very sweet and lush arrangement of this "Theremin Chestnut...

Beutiful Job!

Would you happen to know of a place where I could get my theremin fixed? Acatullay i think the problem is in the amp. Both are made by Moog. And as far as i know hes dead.

But then... Go and try yourself ;-)
I think theremin must be more difficult than violine, for you even have nothing to grab! :-D

This is wonderful! The only other time I have ever heard a theremin played is as an instrument to produce the mysterious otherworldly sound that is associated with sci-fi movies, such as "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Thank you for showing me that this instrument can be used to play other types of music, too, such as rock, and in this case, classical!

Hello, thanks for your kind remark. I actually have a copy of the original Fuleihan score, and have played "AT" it "for self amazement" but never performed it. It's way over my head at this point -- it takes someone with the kind of chops that only Clara Rockmore had to pull it off.

This is awesome! Have you played the Fuleihan concerto? If so, can you post that up?!? I LOVE that piece!
