You cant play in raised B tuning without restringing your guitar. Dave's taylor is strug in B. In order to play this song you have to use the capo on 7, unless you want to re-string your guitar....This dude is playing it correctly....Rock on

@mastamef00 I just want to ask, Have you ever broken your strings from tuning to b
please let me know, coz that happened to me.

@donniedarkodevotte Same thing with me, except I actually grabbed the thing and started learning. I suggest you pick the thing up, and just google basic guitar chords and their fingering, and how to read tabs. If you like it enough, you might start taking actual lessons =P

Damn I wish I knew how to play the guitar. I have a guitar that just sits in my closet, taunting me and my impatience.

Love Dave Matthews man, thank you so much. I love this song as well

I love you! Awesome job! Play for me anytime!
Actually he does play in raised B.. Capo makes it easy so you don't have to change standard tuning

yeah, and raised by isn't simply a matter of tuning the strings up. you have to use two sets of strings to do it - pretty sure it involves either two high e strings or two b strings. the low e string is left out

mastmef00 Hey, thank you so much for the great job you did on this video. Let me just say, I'm picky, but you sound really good when you play, plus your instruction was spot on. And I'm so excited that I can now play a Dave Matthews song. I've been trying Gravedigger, but don't have the picking part down. Oh my God, I just saw that you do that one too. Ooh, lucky me! Take it easy.

I've seen DMB play this twice now and no capo on either

that's because he has a guitar tuned in raised b. I would too if I had enough money to leave a guitar in raised b for the two songs I know in that key :). Raised b is a bitch for two reasons - 1. not too many songs are written in it and 2. you need two sets of strings to tune a guitar in raised b (because it uses two high e strings, if I'm not mistaken and no low e string)
