it takes skill to drift with American muscle because of the V8, so much torque, enough to spin out

Because it's note true. A classic Mustang probally don't sound like that, but if you really made a research, you know that Gran Turismo 5 is using the sound recorded from the real cars, for all cars, or at least, the most impressive one. And this, is not a generic mustang. It's a SOHC 3-valve Modular V8 GT. That's what sounds like.
