  • @billevanstime

    ahahahahah....bella!

    p.s. sono d'accordo...

  • @haroldsdodge I will listen to it. I think Pierannunzi was a piano and music theory teacher at the St Louis Jazz School in Rome, Italy, where I was a guitar student with the great fusion guitarist Umberto Fiorentino. Great times, and that school is one of the main reasons I am currently in 3 bands, which are starting to become quite successful on a local level, here in Central Florida. I will always give credit to the masters!

  • @vampiroangelico Hear hear. A truly awesome pianist and composer. I think his piece Islas is the best piano composition of this century, and stands comparison with anything Beethoven or Chopin wrote. That might sound a huge claim but if you analyse it, or better still learn it - and get to know it from the inside - you'll see the enormity of the man's genius. Alternatively, just listen! Just search for "gapir1 Islas" and enjoy.

  • @rofufoja If you need a translation, he said he thinks it is one of the world's most exciting trios, this piece captures inevitably the attention of the listener and it has a sublime feel for interplay.

I wholeheartedly agree with the guy. Enrico Pieranunzi is, in my humble opinion (I've been a musician for 30 years now, for whatever it's worth) one of the world's best pianists, not even just technically either. He has a great sense for melody and musicality.

  • Very nice... Perfectly into the current state of mind.
