Zoom to Earth : Destination Pine Valley Tourist Park, Bright, Victoria, Australia
This video was inspired by the opening video at the 2010 Global Atheist Convention held in March 2010 in Melbourne Australia. Thanks to the AFA and to other YouTube members for sections of this video and to Google Earth Pro for the final zoom.
Travelling at half the speed of light (150,000 kilometres per second) it would take about 94 billion years to cover the distance this video does in 4 minutes! That is how far away it is from the edge of the visible universe to Earth.
I used this video as the opening of my WRAG Caravan & Cabin Group slideshow that showed highlights of our holiday in October 2010 in Bright, Victoria, Australia. We stayed at the Pine Valley Tourist Park.
If you would like to use this video to zoom into a different location, just replace the final zoom section. If you do, please add a comment and link to your video below. If you know how to remove the Google Earth text, please let us know.
Music = Vangelis : Theme from Cosmos
Just screen capture to get rid of the text. You get a slightly smaller image, but it beats cloning it out, eh?
