Minigone Market (actually correctly Romanized and pronounced 'myay ni gon', meaning 'red dirt hill') in Rangoon, on Inya Road just south of the Sakura Residence Hotel on the west side of the street, at about 6:45am as some of the vendors are still laying out items and blessing their stalls for a day of good sales, killing and plucking chickens (I'd never heard a chicken scream before), scraping fish flesh from the skin to make fish cake, etc.
