You could have billions to spend on every research avenue if you Congress and the House would put an end of corporate welfare, cut defense spending and get back the bailout funds from those thieving bastards that destroyed the world economy and got away scot-free. But, to focus on Thorium, why has no one else built a Molten Salt Reactor somewhere else in the world?

It was not meant to be condescending, but truth telling.
Renewables will absorb billions of dollars, euros, yen, what have you, to provide completely unreliable non-baseload power that we have no means to store in any type of economical manner.
We will expend billions of dollars to install windmills that use millions of tons of materials and kill wild life,
We will spend billions to produce solar energy from the most toxic of chemicals known to man, and take up thousands of acres in the process
