Buy a $600 multicore (core2duo/i3/i5) computer (or one lying around the house) + put a $300 video card in = you get the performance of a $1500 pre built gaming computer!

@psychonaut25 you are an idiot. PC games have far better gameplay on average then consoles. Better control schemes, more access to rescources, and older/more mature audience in general.

@TheCrystalDuck agreed , its realy just a matter of folks doing their homework and learning how to build their own rig so they know what their buying, installing and how to save on parts as they upgrade over time. i built a rig for around $300 the 1st time around and have played most "next gen" console games with maxed settings flawlessly in most cases after taking the time to research how to build a gaming pc from scratch, realy not that involving tbh

@SuperMarvelUniverse Damn right. it will suck with or without DX11 tesselations. Game itself is important. PC games are only about graphics and no gameplay.

it doesn't take much, just a half-decent videocard, $150-200 will get you a great experience

AvP was an awesome demonstration of DX11. Love it for that. Pity the game lasted a few short hours in single player mode and totally sucks for multiplayer compared to TF2. BC2. The game is one great tech demo, but thats about it. You cant even use cover, duck etc as a marine. A step backwards in terms of gameplay for me. But I liked it for the single player atmosphere. Just feel ripped off by the lack of content.

your not wrong. I was unaware that the update had already been released. Then now it goes
Win7+HD5***=DX11
Vista+HD5***=DX11
XP+HD5***=DX9
It doesn't matter if you've got a DX11 card in XP it still will only run in DX9 mode. The code path is too complex for XP to handle.
