Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Crash Test: 2005 Volvo S60 Subtle restyling produces a cleaner appearance front and rear, thanks to body color trim, redesigned lights, and new wheel selections. Models with turbocharged engines can be equipped with an optional Sport Body package for a racier look, and the S60 R's Four-C active chassis is available on turbo models, too. The S60 T5 gets a power boost to 260 horsepower, and is endowed with the same six-speed manual transmission from the S60 R. Inside, a redesigned center console with better cupholders and storage areas is added, and the traditionally superior seats are redesigned for even more comfort and support. Later in the model year, Volvo's new Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) will be available. BLIS monitors the S60's blind spots and sounds a warning if you signal and another vehicle is in the lane next to you.

  • This is NOT a real incident.

The floor is SMOOTH and permit to the car to slide (especially in side crash) and dissipate more energy then if it was asphalt as it is in the streets.

They use a smooth floor to give you an idea of higher idea of safety on the one you would have on streets.

Why they use a smooth floor instead asphalt?

IF YOU AGREE ..... THUMB UP!

  • @giovannicolombomi2 this floor is smooth but not slippy can't you hear the sound of the tires ?? i think it's made of a material like in the garages

  • @gstaraftari the car was rated good though.

  • @giovannicolombomi2 no thumb for u lol

  • Kid in the back: Yay! no school forever!

  • I think the neck was most vulnerable... swinging back and forth

  • @giovannicolombomi2 You are wrong :) The laws of molecular physics says that the smoother are the surfaces which are touching the bigger is the coefficient of friction, in fact that means that on this smooth floor car slides even less than on asphalt :) The proof of this, have you ever thought why formula 1 one cars have tires with smooth protector ? :)

  • Sorry i am going to dislike this because of it is not absorbing the impact and because of this reason for the driver , curtain airbags could not done their job

  • I like at 0:37 when those non power folding mirrors turned into EPIC FOLDING MIRRORS. Volvo should start putting them on every car.

  • @iCharlie9O The year 2005 was considered a new model year for this car. It's as simple as that. Let me know if you need a link. Honestly, you could look it up yourself.

  • @CoreyForeside What is there to argue? ;) The car barely had any changes from 2001-2008 when it was sold other than engines and styling. I want you to prove me wrong!
