Early 1800's LOL, the dragline was invented in 1904 by John Page to help with the digging of the Chicago Canal. Where do you think the Page Engineering Company came from? How do I know this, I know this because I operated the Marion Dragline for Cyprus Amax's Starfire Coal in Eastern, KY after operating the Peabody Coal Dragline for many years.
