Why can't sound guys get vocals right? Do they even listen to the band after setting up the sound? Been to so many concerts without a proper mix. Sometimes the bass blows away the guitar but that's forgivable - the guy is using HIS VOICE and it needs to stay healthy requiring more attention than the drums/bass/guitar mix. I also can't stand it when the back-up vocals are given more volume than the lead's - that's ridiculous and the sound guy never gets it right even after band complaints.

Rivera's style has always had this sort of atonal sneer to it that turns some people off, but he's an absolutely fantastic vocalist. Anyone who denies this can't have heard his work with Helstar and Destiny's End.
Go listen to A Distant Thunder or Breathe Deep the Dark.
