Tablet weaving. 118 tablets. Traditional norwegian pattern for a folk costume belt, 12 centimetres wide. Thin, strong 5 ply wool. Tablets made of plastic place mats.
Card weaving. Woven in a big loom.
Brikkevev med 118 brikker. Belte til beltestakk fra Telemark. 12 cm bredt.

  • Oooooh pretty! I got the link from the SCA cardweaving Yahoo!Group....The most tablets I've ever been able to do at once without going crazy is 50, so 118....wow!

  • Thank you. I have the advantage of the big loom here ( 1,5 meter long and wide).

    I started it backstrap weaving - which actually was also manageable, but I found my warp was a bit uneven - so I undid it and retied the ends. Since this is an order I decided to warp it on my loom in stead, for the evenness. Another advantage is that I can get up in a hurry to reach the phone.
