Daniel Bellino Zwicke and his brother Jimmy take a trip to one of the World's great shrines to the Hot Dog, "Rutt's Hut" in Clifton, New Jersey with their father David brought them from the time they were little kids. Jimmy and Daniel were weened on these things along with Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Cannoli, and Sunday Sauce. The frankfurters (Hot Dogs) are fried at Rutt's Hut and are known as "Rippers" as the skin rips and blisters to get nice and crunchy from "frying." Yum!!!" Rutt's Hut is a Jersey institution and considered to be one of the "Worlds Best Hot Dogs." Excuse me, "Rippers" New Jersey is without a doubt, both the "Diner Capital" and "Hot Dog Capital" of the World. "Sorry Chicago!" The Dogs in Jersey are the "Best" Did

This place definatly lives up to the hype.The Rippers are the best and the Creamators taste like a bacon dog.The relish unique,compliments the dog perfect.The place is a real walk down memory lane especially the bar,like a 50's roadhouse.1.85 for a dog and 4.22 for a boilermaker AWESOME !!!

I never heard of this place until I saw it on the Food Network.I ate here a few years ago but in the front part,the restaurant part.I had the "ripper platter ".It was so good!!!!I had read that Frank Sinatra ate here.

the hot dog's are better than most places, but nowadays many make dogs like these, so, in a lot of ways, they're not as unique as they used to be

i just went yesterday and really wasnt that impressed. I thought it was pretty cool that i was able to order a beer with my dogs (not too often u go to a hotdog joint and the serve beer) but other than that i was expecting the dogs to be much better.
