A song I recorded over a year ago for a Holiday CD. It's my favorite Christmas song, so I did my own improvisation on the melody and harmonics. It's also known as Christmas Bells, Ukrainian Bell Carol, Kolyadka Dzvonyk, etc...

"Carol of the Bells" (also known as the "Ukrainian Bell Carol") is a Christmas song originally composed by Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych based on a Ukrainian New Years chant known as "Shchedryk" and adapted into English by Peter Wilhousky. The song is based on a traditional folk chant whose language was thought to have magical properties and to be of prehistoric origins and was associated with the coming New Year in Ukraine before the introduction of Christianity.
