The Sabbath, in Hebrews 4, God says there still remains a Sabbath Rest for His people. God says it's the 7th Day, the last 1,000 years, Christ's reign on earth. The Sabbath is Prophecy to be fulfilled. Why have we forgotten about the Sabbath?
@YouAreIsrael God judges the heart not the date. If in your heart you're celebrating the day Christ rose from the dead but that same day is easter (pagan holiday) and everyone is finding eggs (what that has to do with Christ is anyone's guess) God will still see in your heart that you're remembering Him even if it's not the right date. Traditions are more for people who claim to have faith but don't, then it is for people who actually have faith. We are confused little creatures, God help us.
@orthodox4eva Traditions are an outward showing of an inward feeling. Observing them or not is not going to send one to heaven or hell. It's just a way to physically show your inward feelings. Such things aren't needed for someone strong in their faith. I think traditions are good because they remind us of important events but some can remind themselves just fine. God just wants us to live like Christ, have faith in Him, and treat our fellow man better then ourselves. Not honor traditions.
@orthodox4eva - Because there is nothing in scripture that suggests one has to accept the tradition of man. I'm sola scriptura, sola gratia and sola fides. Something that the RCC isn't.
i can find u 40 seperate people who said Jesus flesh and Blood appear in the liturgy. Not in the 1200's.
Though the Holy Spirit, what Jesus gave to His disiple at the last supper, is what is given at every church service. Not a re-sacrafice, but as the 5 loaves filled 5,000 people. So does Jesus last supper to billions of people in all time and around the world.
The last supper becomes present to all through the Holy Spirit.
@orthodox4eva - Well at least you're giving credit to the Holy Spirit now! Nice admission. Transubstantiation? Another pagan practice adopted by Catholicism in the 1200's. Sacrificing Jesus afresh everyday? I thought He died once and for all? It's sad to see when people don't understand that when mass is held 24/7 around the world in every time zone it is an admission by Satan that Christ never was sacrificed! The HS moves people in all churches not just the pagan dominated RCC.
@orthodox4eva - So what? Where in the Bible are we told to remember Christ's birthday? So what? Why is it so difficult to admit that pagan celebrations and feast days were incorporated into Christian theology to placate pagans? A missionary tactic? Please. Sol Invictus was instituted into Christianity to placate pagans and it remains pagan, i.e. gift giving, the Yule log, Santa Claus. Who cares? Maybe God cares. Ever think about that? The major problem with Christianity is it's still pagan!!
The Holy Spirit moved within the heirarchy of the Bishops to settle the NT and OT.
But not bible alone.Thats how radicles extremest like SDA, Jahavahs, Uniterians come about with rediculous context manipulation.
Ur justy as bad as the uniternians, manipulating context 4 ur own cause.
If u belive in the Holy Spirit, then you would be part of the Orthodox church and believe that during the Divine Liturgy the wafter becomes the flesh of our Lord.

Respond to this video...
Now i ask you. Why have you broken this tradtion of Jesus flesh and blood present at the Liturgy.
The Holy Spirit acted to keep this tradtion going from Jesus last supper.
This is not explained in big detail in the bible.
But in the end, the tradtion of the early church is not bible alone.
The Holy Spirit guides us to have lots of tradtions through apostolic sucession of bishops from the line of the apostles. Why do you reject this??

The bible doesnt give a date.
Were in the bible does it say Mathew is scripture? Or James? Or Revelations?
OH...yeah we listen to the Holy Spitrit that helped the early church produce it.
Also the early church celebrates the Nativity of our Lord as an apostloic tradtion. So Lets follow the entire tradtion.
Otherwise we r hypocrites and pick and choose what is good and not.
Ur doing this now.

@YouAreIsrael
Who said, that we adopted pagan theology?
All we did was adopt their date. We share a date, but worship completely differently.
A DATE IS NOT THEOLOGY.
Fore example, the santa clause thing is secular pagan stuff.
But at church theres no santa. Only worship to the Lord is on our mind.
We dont let non church activity polute our mind.
Thats what is the key point you must remember.
