A2B ULTRA MOTORS METRO ELECTRIC CYCLE

A short look at my A2B Ultra Metro electric cycle just a week or so after taking delivery of it. My first impressions are very good and I shall do another video after a while when I fit lights etc.

I was looking at buying the rack and panniers. Would you be able to tell me if a secondary battery would fit nicely into one of the panniers?

@sagg10 The panniers are very large and I feel certain a spare battery pack would fit in. My bike came with the single battery fitted on the back as they all seem to in UK but I ordered a second battery which fits in the frame as they come in other countries. This battery position makes it safer from theft if you leave the bike chained up in public place.

Can you remove the batteries for charging? Say, I wanted to ride to work and charge the battery at my desk.

@woollenlightglobe the battery in the frame is a fairly big job to remove BUT the rear battery is a doddle. It has a key that locks it in place, but after unlocking it, you simply slide it out - so it is easy to charge indoors

thats pretty cool - if the bike's top speed without pedalling is 20 mph how fast do you think it can go while pedalling?

@101xfmrogers Interesting question but as the cycly really does do 20 under power, you are then peddling in top gear from that speed which makes it easier to increase as the effect is similar to going down hill and trying to peddle faster than the bike is rolling naturally. Speed would be limited to the gear ratio. BUT, I am told that higher gears can be fitted and then with the boost to twenty, pedal power can reach 30 Miles per hour :)

I have the a2b velociti, awesome bike but want more range. I have the exact same battery you have on the back of your bike. I want to buy an extra battery and have a way of carrying it securlely. Do you mind trying with yours to see if it fits and will carry it okay? The bags sure look good with the A2B. I would hate to buy the bags and find out it doesn't work though. Cheers from Canada!

@TorontoTransman Yup the booster button is for European models where the legal limit is capped at15 MPH but can do 20 MPH if you use the "off road" booster button. North American A2B Metros come set at 20 MPH, hence no booster button needed.

Nice bike, but mine doesn't have that off-road booster button. I look forward to see how you finish outfitting it.
