  • Well, obviously you can feel the limit approaching, and especially if you are an F1 driver, you know it very well. It still requires very quick reaction times, especially now without TCS. Coming out of low speed corners, the car can get very twitchy. Even if you anticipate well, you still have to react very quickly.

If you've ever driven a road car on a track, then a race car, you can feel that in the race car, you have to react faster than in the road car. F1 is the same way, but much faster.

  • F1 drivers, like most good pro drivers, have horrible reaction times. most F1 drivers rank close to pro bowlers as far as reaction time is concerned. a good driver knows the traction limit of his car and tires and knows the car will slide well before it does. Schumacher in the rain is a fine example of this, he would get the wheel on the rack stops before the car even started to rotate.

  • Do these cars still snap oversteer without the bias ply tires if you steer to much?

  • Yeah. I mean it's dry in some places, but it's so hard to tell if the curbs are wet. You could probably get away with it if you drove really cleanly (or were insanely quick with your reaction times like an F1 driver), but one mistake and you're toast.

  • oh is that what it is? i thought it was a crap camera. you are correct, sir.

  • It's wet, especially off-line. Wet curbing=super slick=off track excursion.

    Nice lap.

  • missed opportunities for more full throttle granted it was wet

  • you could get a few more tenths just by using the curbing. thats what its there for.
