  • The best without doubt!

  • je n'y connais rien mais ça me repose tellement et quel plaisir d'entendre arturo toscanini

  • One of the best recordings of the 20th century (1936)

    Amazingly clear and forceful

  • @SteveAndrewLangford I totally disagree... I really love the upbeat tempo, this is one of my favorite interpretations.

  • So far, this is the only piece I've seen Toscanini conduct too fast. He was known for it (conducting briskly), but as I said, this is one that really shows it, i.e. could be used against Maestro Toscanini.

  • 8cccpeevostokzempf--

    Ah, but it WORKS!

    The miracle of multi-culturalism!

  • An Italian interpreting a German--a little hasty--you'd think it'd be the other way around.
