One Summer day in 2006, I was returning to Queens, NY from Manhattan, your rustic photographer was heading towards the 59th street bridge from a 125th street; when he suddenly decide to stop for his first visit to Randall Wards Island Recreational Park. Equipped with his trusty camera he ventured across the bridge that connects Wards Island to Manhattan. To his surprise he was welcomed by inscriptions on the bridge which alerted him that literate monkeys typically visited Wards Island. ashodi, a photographer naturally interested in photographing nature: flora, fauna, sky lines, and vandalism was choked with incredulity; nevertheless, he proceeded with his camera to capture these writing monkeys, to his surprise... ah take a look!

  • You forgot to mention that Wards Island also has a very large mental institution and city homeless shelter that houses thousands of homeless people . It's not a very save place to go for picnic .
