Is it me or is this reminiscent of Salif Keita's Manjou? Or maybe just a Salif's joint in general.

I usually prefer the traditional Malian instruments over guitars when listening to Malian music, but in this case, I think the musicians have brought more to the guitar than the guitar has to them. Perhaps it has to do with the griot tradition, but the musicians are always so clearly there to perform. Marvelous.
