MOZAMBIQUE SCUBA DIVIING & SNORKELING
Shallow reefs are perfect for shore entry with an experienced team at 3m-5m deep next to the reef for training or orientation dives. Taking a 10-30min boat ride to dive sites and possibly with a bit of action adventure stopping off to snorkel with the dolphins.
Pemba Mozambique Dive sites is in the largest natural bay in Africa based on the edge of the Quirimbas Islands means relaxing diving in warm calm waters all year round! Giving protection to an extensive variety of soft and hard corals attracting a legion of fish species, even the rare Sun Fish, Potato Bass, Napoleon Wrasse, Pelagic Fish, Dolphins and Turtles.
A display of Humpback Whales breaching from the boat or while scuba diving with a orchestra of male whales singing their mating ritual songs during July-October can make a memorable impression.
Good visibility between 5m-30m deep is ideal diving for any diver. Drop off has Africa's largest Fan Coral 300m from the shore (Wimbi Beach). The mangrove swamp and more coral areas are next to the dive sites inside the bay offers the most dive action one can get. Our Mozambique dive season offers short wetsuits are worn with temperatures from 26C-29C and minimum 24C in winter.
The reefs are home to a galaxy of starfishes and clouds of fish. Fish life include Goldie's, Chocolate Dips, Parrot Fish; Game fish are Kingfish, Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo and Barracuda. Spotting rare creatures like Ribbon Eels, Stone fish, Seahorses, Banded pipe fish, Sea moth, Marble shrimp, a rainbow of Nudibranchs and Dwarf Lionfish are common. DIVE SCHOOL
All PADI courses up to Dive Master is lead by Calvin a PADI Instructor & 1st Aid Instructor at the only PADI Resort and DAN Business Member at Pemba Dive Center on Wimbi Beach. The owner diving Pemba waters since 1991 (20 years) is proud of the experienced crew in charge.
Students receive free DAN dive insurance while on course is included in the Mozambique Dive Package. On line registration with PADI allows students to continue their course with other PADI schools should there be any time constraints. It is ideal conditions for Discover Scuba and Refresher courses.
We have two locations Dive Resort inside the bay and Dive Centre on Wimbi Beach. Calvin will give free transfers to Dive Centre at Wimbi Beach and back.
