Noah, John, Luke, Paul and Mary were drowned by their mother Andrea Yates.
Andrea was mentally ill and she believed she had to kill her children to save them from Hell.
A Pathologist said that all five children fought for their last breathe.
The Yatess children did not die quick ,it was a slow death.
5 yr old John had a strand of his mothers hair in his hand showing that he had struggled.
Noah attempted to run when Andrea came after him he fought the hardest and resurfaced several times for air.
Noah had deep internal bruising, abrasions, nail scratches, round focal bruises around his joints indicating squeezing fingertip pressure.
Even Mary who weighed only 20 pound fought hard. She had less bruising on her but her head and the back of her neck showed contusions consistent with being forcibly submerged.
Their father Rusty Yates was at work. Their grandmother was due to arrive in an hour to take over for Andrea.

Those poor little babies, their lives just wiped out by a very poorly woman. The issue here has nothing to do with religion, because if the blame wasnt put down to it, something else would have been blamed, keeping the children fron illness,peodophiles, etc,anything.The issue here is how their mum went under the radar of all the medical agencies, thats the real crime.

This is why Churches should not be teaching Eternal Damnation. Thats what really affected her more, than psychosis or depression.

such a beautiful tribute. They were all great kids. Now their all in heaven together. Noah is taking care of his four little siblings, John, Paul, Luke, and Mary. They would be 15, 14, 12, 10, and 9 if they were alive today. And now they have a new sibling Mark down here on earth. He will be two in March. God bless you Yates children. Miss and love the dear rascals.
