  • Dude that's awesome!

  • @glockgopop36

thanks glock... i was hoping you would like it.... one of the many that can appreciate this puppy

  • Is that the original monitor? If so it's a dual sync 15/24. Kinda pointless to run a Naomi on it as they are designed for 31k and you will lose a lot of detail in 15k mode. Not to mention your going to need a LOT of extra hardware as the Naomi is JVS and you'll need a pricey I/O board at the very least.

  • @superdeadite

thanks for the info man.... the monitor is 15/24.... im aware of the additional hardware ill need to run it but can you explain how to get naomi running on this... im thinking of just building a dreamcast jamma adapter... I seen a few well built ones that are all plug and play..... do you think i should just make a dreamcat to jamma converter.

  • @dankss Well to start with, Naomi requires a 3.3v power line, which your cab probably doesn't have. Naomi's also use JVS, they do not have a Jamma edge at all. You will need an I/O board. Basically you plug the Naomi cords into them and they then give you a Jamma edge for the cab. I believe the Capcom version will convert the power for you too, but these things are a good $150 at least.

  • @superdeadite

yea i know about all that but i didnt know about the sync issue.... There a way to make a jamma to dreamcast adapter. using the jpac converter and some hacking.... let me know if that will work

  • Wow,that's awesome!!

  • Love the cab man!..it sounds as though you've truly earnt this great gaming feature here. I'd forgotten all about that cool rally game too, glad you showed this. I'm sure its something you'll treasure forever and good luck with your next goal as well! :)

  • Very nice purchase!

  • Right on man, it looks awesome. That monitor is super crisp, is it the original Hitachi GMK series? Also I've never seen one with a Sigma marquee before. I've seen a few with Sigma control panels before but most seem to have the Jaleco branded marquee and CP. I'll be interested to see what the rotation mech looks like, these cabs didn't come with them from the factory so it appears someone has done some modding like you thought. Hope you enjoy it man, welcome to the world of arcade!

  • Very nice! That one is alot cleaner and whiter then the one I have.

  • Way cool man, is this the 1st cab of many? It's freakin awesome bro, I'm excited for you. Lol, when you went to go get a light I thought it was a scene from Blairwitch. Oh yeah before I forget whens game night? Peace.

  • NO FUCKING WAY! Great cabinet been wanting a cab for myself for a long time but trying to get every american Dreamcast release gets in the way of saving up for one haha also that game looks pretty fun

  • It's called a candy cab am guessing because of it's size? Looks great like a smaller version of the Astro City cab my friend owns which he had shipped from Japan as well. Congrats on it. : )
