While I still find this tragedy horrifying, I'm still amazed at the sea-worthiness of the houses. Entire houses tear themselves from plumbing, sewer and other utilities and float! They, in fact, seem to navigate the water in better shape than the ships and small boats. That is really freaky!

How heartrending to see the remains of the town go drifting out to sea as an irregular patch of floating junk.
And how scary to see the extreme recession of the ocean after this had happened.
You wonder how many people were in that jumbled debris, at the end.
