The problem with a Coalition is that you sometimes have to apologise for past comments. This is the rather jokey rebuttal of one such incident, during the first live press conference of the new Con/LibDem Coalition in the UK.

  • I watched this live and found it genuinely funny. I laughed for ages afterwards. It seems that after 3 years of Brown glowering over the lectern we've forgotten that blair used to have similar light hearted moments.

  • @swanseajackthe3rd Indeed, all the Journalists came away from the Press Conference amazed at how well it had gone. It was back to some of the banter that happened in the Blair era when the briefings began.

  • @OscarPlymouth You are right. But I wonder how many really considered what they were voting for was going to end in complete societal carnage by the time they are done. Clegg has to hold on as he is finished forever after. This will be worse than before.

  • @dadster1969 rather them than the labour cunt

  • @OscarPlymouth sounds about right

  • i thought cameron dealed with it really well took it on the chin quite funny GOOD LAD

  • @dadster1969

So you'd ignore the 23% of the country that voted for him, which together with the 36% which the Conservatives obtained....makes 59% of the electorate voted for one or other part of this Government!

  • @newagemisfit

Quite probably....and long may it last. Surely it makes for better Government if more voices are heard within it?

  • @OscarPlymouth I was trying to make the point that there is bound to be covert partisan division. Which your respose appears to endorse.

  • At last a saviour, Britain now can be great again- with the moral clarity and good vision of the conservative party and the fresh, new, and exiting lib dems i'm sure this country can be prosperous again.

  • @dadster1969 but on number of votes it was much much closer hence why the electoral system right now is rubbish!!

  • @alwaysoutnumber4d shame Cameron is a slimy bastard
