  • i love this film, where could i buy it ??

  • You can get it on amazon...that's where I got mine. Thanks for watching!!

  • I know that Olivier was heavily made-up, but for some reason

his looks became what I compared all other to.

Those eyes.. . . . . All these years since, he is still the most

    handsome man I've ever seen. . .

  • SNAP!!!! We are so on the same wave-length!!!

  • Noone has eyes like that, not even Cagney.

The most moving seen anywhere : his death-scene

    is absolutely heart-breaking.

  • I know!! Olivier is sensational!!! I love him!!

  • I'm a romantic fool, and this is one of the most painfully romantic scenes ever put on film. It gives me chills, with the sailors chorus singing "Londonderry Air" in the backgound.

"Now I've kissed you through two centuries." Chill-time!

  • 1800 is not a new century, it's the last year of the old. Just hold on for another year.

  • How amazing it would have been to kiss my gf on new years eve 1999 and say "now I've kissed you through two mellenia". Damn the year I was born...

  • If only I were old enough to have had a girlfriend in 2000. Now I will never get the chance to use this wonderful quote...

Anyone woman looking for a 107 year old man on new years eve 2099, call me ;).

  • @edwardjames50 I completely agree with you...It,s the best version I have ever heard of that beauriful song. You are not a fool, just romantic, and sensible to wondeful things. who can be "cold" with a scene like this?- And Vivien is just a dream...a wonderful dream...Carlos

  • This scene is so beautifully shot by cameraman Rudolph Maté!

Vivien looks heavenly beautiful in this film!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VIVIEN! they were brilliant together. I love this movie!

  • TCM will be airing this film on July 25th & I can hardly wait since I've been dying to see it!

  • This is my all-time favorite Leigh/Olivier film! And this is, IMO, the very best scene in this movie. The haunting song, the touching words they are saying to each other and these two are so beautiful together! It gives me chills to hear him ask her that she would never leave him. Larry and Vivien were divine.

  • later in this film, when emma-vivien heard the news of nelson,s death, and the man becomes to cry..and her expresion never changes but,,,you can feel and read in her face her most intimate feelings..well, i consider vivien..for this scene, in particular ,deserves an oscar nomination. many of my friends agreed with me. her face, in that scene is a MASTER CLASS of acting. carlos

  • have you the scene where vivien runs from that sofa to the balcony to see nelson waiting her outside??...i have NEVER seen such pasion and love in a movie scene, except in this. the way it was done, with the wind blowing her dress, how she runs, HOW SHE LOOKS to him!!!...my heart is beating quick only just remembering it. churchill said "she,s the most beautiful girl I have ever seen". I agree with him!!!!!!. Carlos (sorry, again, for my english)
