http://www.FreedomUniversity.TV. A series of videos on circuit analysis with applications to transistors. Transistors are important to know since these elements are a prelude to understanding how operational amplifiers work. Here, the common emitter transistor configuration is discussed. For questions on these and other videos, contact Professor Santiago at john@e-liteworks.com or visit the above website.

  • hello sir, for the second example where Vs is 6 volts we alculated Ic=5,3 mA, but if the short circuit current Isc= 5 mA, which is less, so it means that Ic can NOT reach 5,3 mA...right?

  • @Serpico261 You care correct!. The input voltage of 6V exceeded the 5mA from the collector current so it will not reach it. Hope this helps! Dr J

  • thanks,i understood all :D

but if i have in datasheet variyng Beta(gain) for ex. 100-500 which i must use in these formulas?

  • @Mushketer888 I picked beta to between these numbers, say 300. Dr J

  • That's a great tutorial. Thank you so much! I wish there were more like this... Could use some help learning about current mirrors, darlington pairs, and such!

  • Thanks. When I have time, I'll plan on doing those also. Dr J

  • COMO EL VOLANTE DEL MOTOR DE UN COCHE, TAMBIÉN SIRVE PARA MANTENER EL PUNTO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL MOTOR.

  • ESTE CREO QUE ES UN CIRCUITO VOLANTE, QUE SIRVE PARA HACER FUNCIONAR EL EQUIPO CON A UNA FRECUENCIA CONSTANTE.

  • THE FRECUENCY IS CONSTANT, BUT CAN IT´S VARIABLE? IF YOU USE THE SUSTITUON OF POLARITY ON Vb. AND CLOSE THE CIRCUIT AND PUT OUT THE SOURCE OR GENERATOR OF 12 V.

This guy is bringing up circuits solution guys!!!

  • Hello,

    For the second example. Wouldn't Vce = 0.3v & Vbe=0.7v?

I'm taking Electronics and this is what the profesor said.

  • Nice Job Here Guys!! Without the proper application of Mathematics, Transistor Amplifiers can't be understood,,,,Well Produced Video,

  • ty

  • Incredible Video!! Way Better Explanations than what I've Seen on You Tube!! Some Teachers Don't Realize That Understanding Electronics = Theory+ Math equations to increase Understanding Of Electronics!!!

  • Thanks for this lecture, our teacher lack your skills of teaching!

  • GOD bless you - I think you've just saved me on the exam!!
