The push rod is wrong length or bent.check the vale lash and timeing of the vale opening to tdc
-
are you using a are u using roller lifters or flat tappet lifters, flat tappet lifters will cause that
-
@albertabirdman It came back, so did you solve the problem yet? I think I have the same problem with my LT1. I just want to make sure.

can any one tall me how to dril an lt1 block to 4 main bolit?
-
@albertabirdman, damn sounds like you have an oiling issue to that lifter.
-
i don't see any oil coming out, that could be your problem also the lock nut in the middle of nut has to be lose. if they are tighten all the way down it does not let you pre-load your lifters and adjust your rockers tighter. i got the same rockers and had the same problem.

what was the diagnosis?
Was the #6 intake lifter. New lifter, roller rockers and beehives solved it quite nicely. ; )

Sounds like you have number 2 exhaust rocker too loose.

I used an engine stethoscope. All the rockers sounded the same with the exception of the number 6 intake rocker. Same type sound, only much louder. All rockers were lashed with the engine off, and a final tune with the engine running. I'm hoping the hydraulic lifter on the number 6 is just not as oiled as it should be. Still running checks.
