I was a big fan of the 1965 -- 1971 comedy series "Green Acres" -- and I'm old enough to have watched in when it ran for the first time. Yikes. Of course it's been around in reruns for years, but what hasn't been available until today is my 1992 interview with series star Eddie Albert.

Much like Carroll O'Connor in "All in the Family" as Archie Bunker, Eddie Albert had a tremendous resume behind him in film and television, both comedy and drama, long before "Green Acres" came his way. Like O'Connor, Eddie may have paid his dues over many, many years, but it was, arguably, a single television series and one particular role that served to define his acting life and career. I. too, was a big fan.
