@t1pnr1ng The baseline for hotpad scrambles is still 5 minutes, but the DM line is further out (the 25 mile line) so they got a little time to kick the birds up. I noticed that these Eagles did NOT have FAST pack fuel cells on them, marking them as homeland defense units and not the ones that go on Bear Hunts.
@FrozenMinnesotan I was there in 84-85. When Sembach shut down their OV10 operation, they moved me to Bitburg to finish my tour. Was you uncle in weapons loading?
Meinfurer2, when I was at BT in the mid 80s, our Zulu jets were had 5 minutes to be in the air, after the Klaxon blew. My guess is that the current threat in North America doesn't require that sort of response.

"2-7, this is Brass Hat: They're right in front of ya! You're almost on top of 'em!"

pg1171 What r u talking about dated. they continue to update the avionics and engines in this plane. Also, they have shot down many aircraft a lot newer than it. The fact remains that it is a great platform that is constantly updated so that it can still (easily in some cases)compete and win against modern aircraft.
