Thousands of South Shore residents lined Route 3 bridge overpasses from Plymouth to Quincy Thursday afternoon waiting for the motorcade bringing Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's body to the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library and Museum in Dorchester. The Patriot Ledger visited the overpass on Washington Street in Braintree as the motorcade passed. God Bless Ted. Watching the funeral from Upstate New York at the family cabin was a moment I'll never forget. Thanks Nancy (step-mom above in video) for all the history as we watched. For the record, her name is AnneMarie (Nancy) Lawton of Braintree! Blessings to the Kennedy family....Heidi Lawton

While nothing and no one can ever replace Ted Kennedy, I hope his family and friends are comforted by little things like this, how much his home state loved and revered him, and how sorry they are he's gone.
