Nujabes Tribute (R.I.P) - Aruarian Dance

On Feb. 26, 2010, DJ/Producer Jun Seba (Nujabes) passed away tragically in a traffic accident after exiting the Shuto Expressway late in the night.

Personally, this was a tremendous shock to me. Nujabes has been one of my biggest influences and inspirations in my own music production. Well known for his tracks in the anime series Samurai Champloo, Nujabes has artfully weaved together elements of hip-hop and jazz to create something tremendously tasteful in style.

This is my piano cover/mix of one of my favorite works by Nujabes, Aruarian Dance. The original can be found in Samurai Champloo OST in the album "Departure" track 3. If you are a fan, I don't even have to explain.

I am grieving for his loss, particularly because he still had so much to give to this world. His death is really untimely. It's really sad that he never got to finish his work before he died, thus, we can expect some of his work posthumously.
